The Flood of 2011 forced the Humane
Society to evacuate our 2 Jackson Street
Binghamton shelter and temporarily suspend
operations. All the animals have been relo-
cated and are safe. We're up and running at
1946 Route 12, Binghamton (in front of Allen
Veterinary Hospital) and looking for good
homes for our animals! When we evacuated we
were unable to take food and supplies and are
in need of a bunch of things. Click the link

The humane society is an independent, non-profit animal welfare organization. We receive no government funding. We are dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and finding homes for companion animals. We serve the community by sheltering animals, finding them homes, investigating reports of animal cruelty, educating people of all ages, and rescuing animals from threatening situations. The Humane Society was established in the early 1900s by volunteers.
